Where land, leadership, and liberation meet

The Black Urban Growers (BUGs) Conference is the nation’s largest gathering for Black urban and rural farmers, growers, and land stewards.

That's a wrap on the 2025 BUGs conference!

Thank you to every attendee, speaker, volunteer, partner, and sponsor who made the 2025 conference unforgettable.

Three days of connection, learning, and building. Three days that will ripple through our communities for years to come.

More than 800 attendees gathered in Detroit from across the country for the 2025 BUGs Conference. Over 40 workshops created space for skill-building, strategy sharing, and collective action among Black growers, farmers, organizers, educators, and advocates working to strengthen food sovereignty and land stewardship nationwide.

Stay tuned — 2026 conference dates and location will be announced soon.

What makes the BUGS conference special?
